How do I get people to respect the privacy of my wrist's scars?

They're probably making sure that none of the scars are fresh, because they're worried about you, and in fact they're examining you to make sure that YOU'RE making progress. Parents can be like that sometimes, but they will genuinely have your best interests at heart.
