Hi! I have light brown hair and I decided to dye a small streak of it purple. I bought dye called color jamz purple plum. I bleached my hair and then put the dye on it (following all of the directions). The end result is not at all what i expected it to be. The streak looks almost black and is barely noticeable, but in the light it looks indigo and has a green sheen. My step dad abuses me, what should I do?

My step dad scares me and my older brother the most out of the 4 kids in the family. The 2 younger ones of course his own flesh and blood, don't get hurt yet we do. Ok so you know at a young age you mess around and have fun. But when me and my older messed around, we would be strangled to near death, or grabbed by the shirt and banged against the wall. Our mother would just stand there watching us dieing slowly, and wouldn't do anything. When the 2 younger kids got abused my mother would defend them, and yet I always wonder how come she doesn't defend us. (I would mostly get beat up the most because the family blames everything on me for some reason. Also I'm kinda the middle child.) Everyday I used to hide from my step dad or avoid him as much as possible when he came back from work. Sometimes when he strangled me, I wished he strangled me so hard that I would die and move on to the next world. When ever I did got strangled I had bruises on my neck, the next day I would go to the nurse in school. She would always ask "what happened to your neck, it looks like you were strangled", I afraid, would make up a lie to her every time. I was afraid what would happen to me, what would happen to the family if he was put in jail. So to present day now, I only get child labor time to time, and get get or yelled at.

First an emergency vet is going to be much more expensive than the average vet office estimate. Still pricey but you could try contacting any vet schools remotely close by including UGA. If you don't have the funds or ability to pay, the kindest option if dog doesn't improve is to put down. The majority of pet owners could not afford to spend that amount of money. My newborn kitten is moving very little and hasn't nursed on the mother since its birth?

When it first came out, its airways were clogged with amniotic fluids. Since I thought it would dissipate on its own [didn't want to intervene with a cat pregnancy], I let it be. It's been eight hours since its birth, and while its lungs are not as clogged, it's showed little effort in trying to suckle on Mom. Other than wriggling every now and again, he's been lying on his side most of the time, somewhat gaping for air; his inaudible cries sound mucuousy and squeaky as well. If these conditions do not change, will it die? I'd take the issue to the Vet, but they are asking for over 700 just to examine him. They offer little to no advice over the phone because, "We can't suggest anything unless we see him," while my local animal hospital is closed for the day.

I need some band/friend help?

So I need to bail out of this band. It's a thrash metal band, but one of the members is too stubborn for it ever to make it anywhere. I was staying at a friend's for a week now and I just found very small bugs on my air mattress and all over?

They are all around the room I am staying in. MY suitcase and clothes were also in this room. I feel depressed after everything i do?

for as long as I can remember I've become more or less of a recluse due to anxiety disorders and these days I have realised I wasted my life and I want to get back to normal. OK so i have bin having weird dreams lately... One of them is that I was in an insane asylum... I wasn't crazy though but everyone around me was and they were trying to kill me but I was trying to escape and my ex-boyfriend/still boyfriend was trying to save me and every time I got away they would drag me back in. Now I had another dream last night that confused me even more... I was in a school setting and this guy just kept coming around examining our faces (me and my friends) until finally he called us to follow him and when we followed him I blacked out and woke up (still dreaming) and he was sawing my head on my hairline trying to get my brain out then i blacked out again... When I re awoke in the dream it felt like I was smarter braver and more evil but the weird part was that I was functioning just right without my brain when clearly we need our brain to function but he would use us to make his choices on whom he would chose next but then we started a dance group and I woke up!!! I'm very confused about these dreams I mean I wasn't minding them at first but when they started affecting my emotions throughout the day then I start worrying... Will taking tylenol 3s with codeine help ease withdrawl from oxycodone and oxycontin?

Just wondering.. I have a very close friend in which I live with who has been addicted to oxycodone and oxycontin for about two years now. He is trying to quit the bad habit cold turkey. He had a surgery about two years ago and has been on these things every since.. he is trying to find ideas to help ease his withdrawl symtoms.. he does not want to take suboxone or methadone for various reasons. He was thinking maybe taking some tylenol 3s with codeine to help ease it.. does anyone know if codeine will help him out with these yucky withdrawl symptoms? also is codeine in the same cl as oxycodone but in a much weaker form? Would taking enough of it take withdrawal symptoms away completely? don't know much about this stuff myself but he is miserable right now and I am doing everything I can to help him out.. if anyone knows anything about this stuff all answers will be greatly appreciated.. just want to know mainly if codeine and oxycodone are similar and if it will take away the withdrawl symtoms or at least help ease it alot? thanks for the help guys yahoo answers always helps me out alot ;)

First suggestion would be to pick up a good book on gunsmithing. If you like to work with guns you will pick up some great ideas. As for sandpaper, wet & dry with a grit no larger than 600 might work. You don't want to do something too harsh or you leave ugly marks on the barrel. You can buy cold blue material for touch up work...but it might not match the rest of the barrel. One thing you can do if you have a good buffing wheel is to buff the entire set of barrels and apply cold blueing to the full set of barrels...at least that will make them all the same color. If you really get into the project you can do hot blueing but that is messy and time consuming. And you still have to polish the barrels. Get a book, however, and follow some instructions for cleaning up the barrels. The gun is a good gun, possibly made by Rossi and sold first around 20 years ago, As for the sloppy varnish, you can also re-finish the gunstock and if you get ambitious, you can add some checkering. This could be a great project if you get into the idea.

I think I could be depressed, what to do?

Hi, lately I'm feeling really depressed and don't know what to do. I'm a top student and my grades haven't been dropping, but I'm continually gaining weight. I found out yesterday I gained 8 pounds in about a week. Is this bad for my sprained ankle?

About a month ago i sprained my ankle pretty badly. It had gotten a lot better and doesn't hurt when i run because a week ago i started cheer and we run a mile everyday. We also do jumps. My ankle feels so much better and only hurts a tiny bit when we do kicks, but for some reason its still pretty swollen so i ice it everyday after practice. My two year old struggles to sleep... "(?

Ever since she was born my two year old has struggled to sleep, as a baby until about 8 months she refused naps throughout the day and would fall asleep about 8pm ish. It never helped that as a baby her dad would let her sleep in our bed and now hes left us thats left me with the during the night toddles through to my bed from her. Shes now 29 months and does sleep throughout the day for about an hour, but my issue is for some reason she is hating going to bed... she cries and cries and screams and gets in and out of bed, i sit next to her bed reading a magazine not talking to her so im there but not interacting, and it will take me a good hour or so to battle her to sleep. ive tried reading a story, leaving her alone, soft music, more light, less light, new bedding, singing to her, simply ignoring her (other than to put her back into bed) and its like she has a pure fear of her bed. She shares her room with her 7month old sister so naturally wakes her up with all the fuss meaning she cries as shes so tired. My eldest is very sensitive, if people leave the house she cries and im not sure if shes started what seems like a fear of bed because she knows im leaving her when shes asleep. It works similar to this; half 7/8 she gets sleepy, take her to bed, after all the screaming and crying its about 9/10 before im back downstairs, shes up between 5/6am. The problem is when i was pregnant with my second i had severe SPD and struggled alone so some nights when i was in so much pain i couldnt take my eldest back to her bed to sleep and she had the luxury of staying in mummys bed. Im not sure whether to cut her nap during the day out which tends to be about 11ish, or to simply force her each night to bed, or to let her fall asleep downstairs with me and then take her up to avoid all the upset... im at a lose end now being alone to figure this out after my ex introduced the bad habits. Shes very very energetic, she wont sit for long at an activity and is very flitty so winding down with colouring probably wouldnt work. My concern for cutting naps is,that when shes not had a nap before she gets stupid tired between 4/5 and she has to sleep sometimes and then wakes up about 6/7 and then its ridiculous the time shes ready for bed. Her little sister is a beautiful little sleeper,but in 29 months shes had three different homes, three different beds so i know it must be hard. Its just gone from her getting tired, me taking her to bed at about 8ish, within 10 minutes shes sound asleep (this wwas only about 3 months ago) to this.... help! Haha. Sorry to ramble on its just im only 20, their dad left us when i was 12 weeks pregnant with my youngest, im studying a uni degree, so i feel like im losing the plot sometimes with how difficult her sleeping is x

My boyfriend got pulled over for throwing a cigarette out the window on midnight. Then, FOR NO REASON, the cop gave a sobriety test to him. The cop did NOT ask him if he had any medical conditions that would mess up the test. Then he blew a .09 at the car. When he was arrested, the cop said he was in full control of his vehicle, and he was also very respectful and cooperative. He did not get charged for littering. When he got to the station, 30 minutes later, he blew a .07. This makes me think that maybe the machines were calibrated wrong, and if thats the case, it is my understanding that the charges should be dropped entirely. He was in the State of Washington when this happened. Is it possible to get the charges dropped or lowered? He is 5 months away from being 21.

One of my dog's ears all of a sudden just started bothering her. Please help asap.?

Hi, my mom just got back from walking our dog...about 15 minutes in she started acting like she was experiencing some discomfort in her ear. Shaking her head about constantly as if trying to dislodge something from her ear. She wasn't even able to get any of her business done outside b/c of this. This happened out of nowhere, she was not exhibiting any behaviour of discomfort until this point. My mom hypothesized that perhaps a bug flew in, even though she has very floppy ears but she had nothing else to go on. I examined the inside of both ears and they look fine. She's acting normal too, licking us and wagging her tail about. But she's still shaking her head, and we can tell her ear (we're not sure which one) is still bugging her. We know her ears are clean, we take her to the vet regularly and they always tell us how clean her ears are. Is it time for another vet visit? Or is it really nothing too serious? We're also thinking perhaps a bee stung her or something. Really don't know. Any tips or advice would be helpful though, thanks.

Trying to find the right college for me?

so, i'll be a junior this upcoming school year. i've begun the college search process. i'm not going to list off my resume and dig around for answers that are like "WOW. that many APs?!" because that's not what I'm looking for. However, I will say that I've become extremely interested in Yale, mainly because I'm very highly considering majoring in History in college and Yale simply is the best for history. Please don't mistake me for simply wanting to go to Yale because of the fact that it's an Ivy or because of its prestige. I'm specifically interested in being a historical yst (using old doents, mcripts, letters, diaries, etc) to examine and study historical developments. How can I give my parakeet antibiotics other than using dropper?

One of my budgies was not acting himself and had green watery diahrea on Friday. I called vet and he took us right in. He examined budgie and said he has slight weeze, dr gave budgie an injection of antibiotics, told us to keep him in a cage by himself, and give him antibiotics twice daily. The dr asked me if I would be able to give him antibiotics using a dropper. I was sure I would be able to so told him yes. I was wrong! Saturday morning when I went to try to grab budgie he flew around cage would not let me grab hold of him. I had to to do the same today I felt really bad that I had to tire him out in order to get him to give him the antibiotics, he squirmed, yelled. I am calling vet tomorrow and asking him if I there are other ways of giving him the antibiotics. Does anyone know how else I can give the budgie antibiotics? Thanks

You really should get it looked at. A doctor will be able to tell you whether it is bad or not. You may have dislocated it, or pulled a muscle or something. xD I'm not a doctor, but I DO know something. There is nothing to fear from an x-ray or an MRI. My little sister did a CT scan, it didn't hurt. Neither will an MRI. I've had to get an x-ray when I had pneumonia. It didn't hurt at all, and it's interesting to get to see what's inside your body! xD

Am i getting too jealous or is there something i should be worrying about?

Okay. I sometimes get jealous when my girlfriend hangs out with other guys because of the whole protective thing. But recently, my girlfriend has been hanging out with 2 of her guy friends, her and the two of them. Now, both of them are geeks, and seemingly unattractive, but it still makes me wonder if shes doing something behind my back. One reason is that one of her friends she was hanging out with was boasting he could last an hour and a half about , and she told me she was walking past him when she heard it and she said 2 hours. I asked her why and how she finds it fun, and she said that just talking to her guy friends is fun. Maybe im worrying too much, but i dont see how you need to meet up with 2 guy friends in a park at night just to talk and listen to music. Ok, so there is just a total ****** at my school, I hate his guts! I've had issues picking on me all year, only a week left, but I wanna stand up for myself. Ever since I have been on depo I've had trouble getting lubricated on my own..I had with a guy back in February and it was totally dry down there, it was some brutally painful which I hadn't experienced before..I didn't see him again but the morning after it really burned when I peed..after taking a hot bath it felt soothed and I didn't have a problem..it was 5 months that I didn't have and the only thing I noticed was certain soaps made the one side of my vagina sting a little. No itching or odor like you would with an STD, it was barly noticable until I found a new sex partner. This time knowing I can't get wet I used some lube and as soon as he d I felt it again on the one side around the opening, when I told him to stop and pull out I noticed a small amount of blood on my sheets and the lube started stinging that one side. After examining my vagina in the mirror I was shocked to see a tear about 3cm long near the entrance to my vagina, it was really swollen and when I went pee it burned so bad..so again I had a hot bath and it felt soothed, no problems now but I'm afraid to have sex, because the tear is fresh and won't heal. I'm positive this happened all the way back in february and has been fresh ever since. So it's had 5 months to heal, I made an apointment with my doctor but I can't get in until the Wednesday the 8th..what kind of treatment is there for vaginal tears that won't heal on their own? I'm also getting checked for STDs so don't answer saying "you could have an STD" I'm %98 I don't have an STD there is just a distinct rip near the entrance of my vagina that won't heal..HELP!

I'm 14 and lately i've been so stressed. School is the main thing that stresses me out. I get straight A's usually but I'm always stressing about things like projects, quizzes, tests, and homework. I also fight with my mom and sister a lot so i get very stressed from that. Commonly, I end up screaming and hitting things and feeling really stressed. How do I get help for Social Anxiety Disorder?

I saw a counselor at my college this year because I had trouble making friends at my college as a freshman. She said that it seems like I'm on the right track and I don't need to see her anymore. People on here and another forum say I have Social Anxiety Disorder. She never mentioned this to me nor have I ever discussed this with her. She did some cognitive therapy to change some irrational thoughts that I had. But it still seems like I have social anxiety. I did manage to make one friend at the end of my freshman year but that's it. I've been joining clubs and making conversation with people I know but I was never able to take it a step further and become good friends. I'm living in an on-campus apartment next year as a sopre with a few other people I don't know. I'm a little nervous that it will turn out like my freshman year where I can't make friends. I still get nervous talking to people and keep quiet in group conversations and I can't voice my opinion in groups at all or even make simple decisions because I'm afraid I'll make the wrong one and people will think negative of me. I did some research on it and got to really examine myself and realized that I do have a lot of the symptoms. Some of them like the decision making I never really discussed with her. I got a 69 on the Liebowitz Social Anxiety Scale. Should I get a second opinion by seeing another counselor at my school and ask her? I want to do this because it's free and I don't want to see a psychiatrist unless medication is necessary and I don't want to offend the one I've been seeing by seeing someone else. How can I help myself on my own over the summer? How would I discuss this with the counselor? I just want to have a fun college life and get a girlfriend and be a fun outgoing person. Thank you.

To answer your question, yes, I believe you do. I was the same. I have Aspergers, which results in me being unable to talk to people. I attempted that same experiment, and in the process found an attatchment object, another girl. I became close to her to advance the experiment, but soon after she found me creepy. I was distinctly upset when it happened, which lead to my diagnosis. Also, judging by the formality in which you speak, it is likey. My recommendation would be to see a paediatrician, or a psychiatrist, and make sure.

My mother is really over bearing. I'm 19, and my boyfriend lives an hour away. Help!! My daughter weighs more than me and even her dad!!!!?

She went for her physical today and got weighed. She weighs now 189 pounds!! (about 14 stone) I weigh only 130 and her dad weighs 160. Niko had been ready to render him unconscious, but lucked out at the last moment. After, a speech about the dangers of reckless driving the officer let Niko go on his way. After this last run in with the law he made sure he complied with the speed limit, so no suspicion would be , and lead to his eventual imprisonment.

Mt sister's shih tzu fell about two feet off the ground. Is she okay?

She was limping for about two minutes after she fell. We were worried she had fractured a bone. She landed laying down and she hit her head. We heard the fall. After about two minutes, though, she began to run around and hop as if nothing had happened. I had her in my arms and had knelt down to let her run around the floor, but she slipped off my arms before I could put her down. We checked her feet, paws, and head for signs of injuries but everything seems to be fine. She's not whinnying and doesn't cry when we examine her. She is about to turn four months. She's still running all over the place and doesn't seem to be hurting. I'm just worried since she was not limping, but kind of hopping for two minutes after she fell. Thanks.

What should i do about my sprained ankle?

About a month ago i sprained my ankle pretty badly. It had gotten a lot better and doesn't hurt when i run because a week ago i started cheer and we run a mile everyday. We also do jumps. My ankle feels so much better and only hurts a tiny bit when we do kicks, but for some reason its still pretty swollen so i ice it everyday after practice. Is it bad to excersise so much or will it be helpful to strenghen it? Im just not sure since its still swollen. I know its not fractured cause i got an xray a few days after.

So my periods have never came at an exact day of the month every month so I really don't know when I ovulate my cycle is all over the place.. I always went off the whole 14 days in cycle so about 2 weeks after my period I umed I would b ovulating. But now that I see alot of women saying that they have gotten pregnant having even a day after their period I'm freaking out cus that's my case.. I ended my period the 12th of last month and had unprotected the 13th few days after I was NOT feeling good... I keep burping and feeling super gy I never ever feel sick and sometimes throw up a little in my mouth.. started cramping as if my period is coming but now I don't even know it's ridiculous how much I burp and let out gas and go to the restroom for both number 1 & 2 most days I'm constipated tho I keep getting heart burn and even this feeling of "stomach burn" I guess I'm experiencing acid refluxes.. The reason I think I might be one to ovulate at an odd time is because the only other time I had unprotected was exactly when I "thought" I'd be ovulating an I didn't get pregnant!! && it was perfect timing!! So it's the 10th today and I took already three hpt's few days apart from eachother && it came out negative! But I have ALL symptoms & find it strange that they came so early on How long did u wait till u finally got a positive! && i can technically be considered late but like I said my periods aren't exact every month so it can come any time now..

Okay, so I have not exactly been regular in the bowl movement department. On Tuesday i took a stool softener and it happened, but then wed and thursday, no movement! Why does this happen to me. Quite alot of guys have shown intrest in me (well I think) and nothing ever happens I'm still single. Why is this, ?? One reason I think this is because a guy for instance offered me a lift home from a gig which happens to be my bros friend but I would of said yes but I said no because I was with my friends and couldn't ditch them. HENNA - black to brown?

I have natural black Asian hair, and I want to change it to some thing like a dark brown to just brown (not too light) but I'm only able to use natural dyes. I've been reading many Henna articles saying henna will just make it red. But is there another type of powder I can mix with the Henna to make it this brown color? Such as Indigo. HI.. 26 yrs old female here. I was actually on her last night and asked a question...and everyone who answered was very helpful with their opinion..so thank you . So i guess the issue im having now ...which is similar to the question i asked last night...i dont know what to do about my almost 4 yr relationship i have been in. I feel very heart broken, confused, scared ect :( To sum up my story again. Im with my bf of three and a half yrs all the time. We do not live together but im constantly at his house or spending the night. I have no friends and pretty much dont ever go anywhere out of the ordinary except his house, my house, or my sisters house. Him and I dont really do much...but lay around his house..or maybe go fishing or something. He works nights and sleeps all day till about 730pm. I was at home and very bored on a hot day and wanted to get out of my house so i went shopping. Was gone for a few hrs because i went a few stores. I always take forever but rarley go shopping. Anyways..i left at 5pm and got home at 10pm. I called him as soon as i got home and he freaked out. He always wants me to be considerate of him and let him know if im going somewhere or what im doing for the day which is understandable, but he always says its only cuz he worries about me. I think that might be true to a certain extent, but i feel for the most part he might be insecure a lil, or maybe paranoid, or might want to have controll of me a lil i dunnoooo. But i always try to do what makes him comfortable and be a good gf. But last night he called me a lier and demanded me to send him a video to his e mail of my receipts! he said he wanted proof! i said to him that he should trust me and im not sending him my receipts. We then argued for several hrs online. and i eventually caved in. I sent him a video of my reciepts to prove my where abouts, but was very pissed off and said some mean things. After he seen the video, he asked me to forgive him and said he was very sorry. He just wanted to see proof. Pport issue..help please?

ok here it is.. my mother is in the uk since 2006.. she is not a citizen of uk but.she is working there.she went there as a nurse!! last yr she give her pport to the home office like 1 1/2 year ago to renew her visa. she has her work permit( which is i think unfortunately going to expire soon).. till now she didnt get back her pport. for the past 1 1/2 yr she is without one.. she's been contacting them since long.all they say is that they are working on it.. she even hired solicitors to deal with it..in vain..one solicitor after the other with no results but only with bills to pay afterward.. is there something fishy going on???? any reason y they are not giving back the passport.. if she were illegal , they would have deported her since long.so wats the problem???? can any1 help me plz? can advice or idea..thanks

Is it legal for my mechanic to do this to me?

I brought my car in to be fixed because it was making a funny noise. I was told it needed a new power steering pump. 1200.00 later, it still wasn't fixed, so I brought it back. They said they needed to replace the rack and pinion steering. Another 1280.00. Picked it up, still making noise. Brought it back. They called me the next day and said it was an air bubble. Picked it up, not fixed. Brought it back and they replaced the power steering fluid reservoir, saying it was warped. Tried to make me feel like they were doing me a favor because they didn't charge me for it. Drove away, still not fixed. After getting home and examining my receipt, noticed the reservoir wasn't mentioned on there. Stopped by this morning to ask if they could print up a receipt for me that included the reservoir so that i could keep it with my maintenance records. They said they couldn't do that because it was only written in the mechanics notes on their computer. Even after my urging them to do it, they refused. As you can probably understand, I do not want to go back to this place. Is there anything i can do? Can I get my m oney back and/or have them pay for me to get it fixed right somewhere else. I can't afford to pay someone else to go through all of this again. Any suggestions?

The narrators emotions are good, but I don't think you need to describe every single one of her features. Give it all away now, and you'll have nothing left for the rest of the book. I have an Asus U50F and am not sure whether or not it has a PCMCIA slot or not. After examining the sides it looks like the answer is no, because all that I can find is the 8 in 1 card reader and a few Universal Serial Bus ports but nothing that I do not recognize. My aunt says my husband isn't invited?

So my aunts daughter just died in January and she invited us all to come over in July but she specifically said for girl time. Now I don't have a problem with that except that it is a family gathering in California and I live in nevada, so I will be gone all weekend. My husband is extremely offended that he isn't invited, and so am I. She says she doesn't want him to go because my uncle may then want to come, and none of us like him, including his wife. But, that is an extremely lane excuse because there is no reason anyone would tell him or any other means for him to find out. I understand her needs right now and I want to accommodate her, but I feel it's beyond rude to tell a spouse they aren't invited. I don't know how to proceed from here. I specifically told her he was sad he wasn't invited and she said it was too much to ask and she was sorry but even her own husband wasn't invited.
